Max Richter Ensemble @ Theatre Royal, Norwich 19.5.16

Last night I went to see the Max Richter Ensemble. I enjoyed some of the music from The Blue Rooms in the first half of the programme – but felt it was permanently stuck in an elegiac gear. Suffering from my first cold in 6 months I decided to leave at the interval – missing a 90 minute version of SLEEP. The cramped seating of the Theatre Royal was not ideal for this monumental piece. One day I’ll lie down to the 8 hour complete work. Here’s an Outline review and an article about the premiere.
